At Duplex we supply a range of cleaning machines ideal for cleaning all types of equipment for a large variety of industries. This equipment includes items such as escalators / travellators, hospital beds / wheel chairs / trolleys, wine barrels / bottling lines, and even conveyor belt systems.
How to Clean Escalators
The Duplex Escalator 350/550 is a purpose built machine for cleaning escalators. Unlike other machine for cleaning escalators the Duplex Escalator 350/550 machine actually cleans the escalator steps as it operates. This is possible through a patented guide rail system that allows the user to keep the machine operating smoothly in the one position. As escalators are cleaned whilst they move the Duplex Escalator 350/550 produce very efficient cleaning results.
To clean an escalator with a Duplex Escalator 350/550 you will need to:
Position the Duplex Escalator 350/550 with the thin side (side with least space between brush and wall) to the edge of the escalator step.
Connect a vacuum to the recover tank lid and do a dry scrubbing cycle to remove dust from the escalator step treads.
After dry sweeping remove the vacuum. Then give a low moisture scrub to remove more stubborn grime. Apply water by squeezing the water trigger for 1 second, then releasing for 1 second. Deep cleaning may take a couple of cycles of the escaltor to complete.
As an escaltor is usually wider than the Duplex Escalator 350/550, the machine will need to be turned and moved to the adjacent side of the escalator step.
Once repositioned repeat steps 2 & 3.usually takes approximately 30 minutes as a couple of passes are required on each side.
To help produce better cleaning results and prolong brushware, the Duplex Escalator 350/550 has brushes especially developed for Otis, Kone and Schindler escalator treads.
Cleaning of hospital bed mattresses can be a timely exercise between patients as it can involve lots of scrubbing, drying, use of chemical disinfectants and changing water.
A better way to clean hospital beds is with the power of steam. The JetSteam steam cleaner with a lance and Steam Mini Mop attachments is ideal for fast cleaning of hospital mattresses, bed frames, curtains and surrounding high touch items.
Producing +155c superheated 94% dry steam, the JetSteam range requires as little as 3Lt of water per hour. ; while absorbent microfibre cloths both aid cleaning and dry the surfaceas you steam.
First, steam the bed frame and rails using the high pressure steam lance and dry with a clean cloth.
Next, steam the mattress using the Mini Mop attachment with a microfibre pad. The steam cleans and thermally sanitises the mattress, while the microfibre pad captures the grime and leaves the mattress almost dry.
Betwen each bed/mattress change the microfibre pad to avoid any cross contamination.
Cleaning of a bed can take as little a five minutes to complete and there is no need to contactly change water.
Cleaning of wine barrels has traditionally required lots of water, cleaning agents and time to complete. Given that many wineries clean thousands of barrels multiple times per year this can be a monsterous task. Thankfully Tecnovap has come up with a better, faster and easier way to not only clean, but also to detartrate and disinfect wine barrels. This is through the use of superheated dry steam.
Tecnovap steamers use +165c-190c superheated 94% dry steam to clean, disfect and break down tartrates in wine barrels. With a Tecnovap Bacchus system a wine barrel can be cleaned and sanitised with internal temperatures of +100c in under 5 minutes, all with less than 3 litres of water.
First, drain the barrel of any wine residues to allow steam to penetrate all areas;
Turn barrel so plug hole is facing up and insert the Bacchus steam diffuser;
Turn on the steam and insert a thermometer;
Wait and watch as the temperature climbs up to +100c in minutes. When temperature climbs the steam actively breaks down tartrates and wine scale.
To finish, simply turn the barrel to drain residue and allow to cool.
Steam works well at breaking down the tartrates in barrel which helps expose the oak and also allows steam to destroy any bretanomyces in the oak. The operation is simple, saves approximately 100Lt of water per barrel, does not require the use of a flame, does not require any chemicals and most importantly can help bring back the oak flavour.
Cleaning of conveyor belts has tradionally been a difficult time consuming task that had been done by hand and required shutting down the conveyor system. Thankfully Tecnovap have now developed a far better, more efficient and easier method to hygienically clean conveyors; all without chemicals.
The Conveyor Cleaner by Tecnovap uses a combination of superheated 94% dry steam vapour, a motorised scrubbing brush, water/detergent injection, and a wet vacuum to treat conveyor belt systems as they run.
To clean simply:
(if portable system) Attach the Conveyor Cleaner to the appropriate position on the conveyor system;
Connect the steam generator and vacuum system of the JetVac or SteamBox;
When steam is ready adjust the Conveyor Cleaner squeegee and brush onto the belt so there is contact;
Run the conveyor and turn on the steam and vacuum to start cleaning. The steam will emulsify soiling, the brush will break down and the vacuum will remove simultaneously;
Once the belt is clean (usually a few cycles) simply raise and turn off the Conveyor Cleaner system.
The conveyor system is now clean and sanitised. All with minimal physical effort, very little water, no chemicals, and no mess.
The Conveyor Cleaner can also be permanently fixed to the conveyor belt system.
